How bad is coffee for you?
I would be particularly interested to hear from females who have drunk several cups of strong coffee each day over several years. What effects has it had?

Coffee has actually been proven to have many beneficial effects. It seems to reduce the risk of diabetes and cirrhosis, esp. 4-5 cups a day (the health news has been full of these studies lately). Smaller amounts improve thinking and athletic performance. The antioxidants in brewed coffee (not instant) have many healthful effects, similar to grape juice or red wine.
Some people are sensitive, and get shaky or jittery and should avoid too much, but if you enjoy it and don't get the shakes, there is really nothing to worry about and potentially a lot of benefits to it.As for wrinkles, it doesn't cause them. In fact, there are several high-end skin creams that contain caffiene! It increases blood circulation, so it is used as an ANTI wrinkle cream...

I'm sure that like pretty much everything, caffeine in moderation is not going to be a problem at all. And several cups of strong coffee a day isn't really that much. I'd rather have good coffee every day of my life and a few wrinkles, anyway!

Regular Coffee does not give you wrinkles.
Decaf is made by using some nasty chemicals to remove the caffeine from the Coffee Beans. Those chemicals leave a residue in the Coffee which is very bad for your Health and may cause premature Old Age.

Despite my name, I am female.
I have drank an average of 6-8 coffees a day for about the past 12 years (im 25) and dont think it has had any effect whatsoever-im not wrinkly (then again that may be down to my age), have good skin and have no trouble sleeping. I'm also a reasonably heavy smoker and dont have the stained teeth or grey skin that they say smoking and coffee give you.
I think its more down to the genes how fast your body will age

Not in moderation drinking a lot of coffee or energy drinks will increase the chance of getting wrinkles but it s different for everyone so don t worry. The reason it may give a person wrinkles is the difference of having energy and then not having any, can effect your skin .

I have drank coffee for 20 plus years and have great skin. To my knowledge, coffee does not cause wrinkles. I used to be a skin care specialist and can honestly say that I have never heard this.

i don't know of a scientific study or anything about caffeine affecting wrinkles, but common sense says that caffeine is bad for you/somewhat of a strain on the body and anything that strains the body and lessens its ability to deal with stress is bound to leave marks on the body, which could easily manifest as wrinkles.
