Do some of us just not get chosen by any gods?

If a god/goddess really want you to be one of their own, (if they are really more powerful than any human) they would make them self known to you personally, not through human media, right?

So the most powerful Gods/Goddess are those who's followers never tries to convert others.

Why do we need to submit to any god/goddess anyway, why would they want a bunch of slaves or worshippers can't we just befriend all the gods?

I think WE are the actual gods and goddesses, and that you see the face of a god each time you look at someone.

God is made of US collectively. So people be careful how you treat your fellow gods and godesses.

all these god/goddesses will not be there when you face the real God in Eternity. He has already revealed Himself and He has already chosen you. The problem is you have not accepted Him. satan loves to trick people into thinking there are many ways when God has already said there is just one. God doesn't want slaves and the Worship is for our benefit (it focuses life in the right direction and brings the Presence and Power of God into us). As far as "converting others" - I am only responsible for what you know, not what you do. However, if you saw someones house on fire about to die in it, wouldn't you do whatever you could to get them to "wake up" and get to safety? That's what motivates Christian's to keep trying. Eternity is a very long time to be without God.

If there are Gods/Goddesses why would they care at all about human existance? Wouldn't they have bigger issues to deal with?

If these beings are so bored that they would care what humans are doing then I would want no part of them. I am human and I could care less what other people do in their lives!

I just can't buy into a God or Goddess that would have any interest in our Shock tv type of secioty!

The One True God does not choose, because His creation is perfect; all are blessed with His love.
We cannot choose God, because God is lofty beyond all human comprehension. We can only choose to obey or disobey Him with inevitably accompanied consequences. This choice of ours is based on the divine counsels revealed in the Holy Books of His Divine Messengers.
Because man is not all-knowing, so he cannot live without the guidance of the omniscient God. Those who deny the Supreme God, consciously or unconsciously worship their false gods: self, pleasure, money, fame, power, heroes, celebrities, ideologies, leaders, nature...which are easy to select.

I'm a monotheist, but I like your style. Why would any god need to procure converts? In the ancient world, you had to really go out of your way to find a good god.

"can't we just befriend all the gods?

Why should I if I don't want to?

I tried that before, now choose not to.

Whoever gave me a thumbs down, that's called freedom of religion. What happened to all the tolerance and not making people believe the same thing??? I'll choose what I want to choose, tough if you or your gods don't like it. :P

I've narrowed it down to one...He's all I need.

you people are serious,no gods, are metaphors put forth by wise men who realized that this "gods" thing was the only context the majority of the people would understand, wake up people or we are all doomed.

your parents choose your belief. and once its imprinted onto you, its not easy to leave. even many of those that do not believe what they grow up with, dont speak out about it for fear of rejection from family and friends. not to mention the fear they throw at you for turning from the church you attend. (and that goes for many religions not just christianity, im not picking on you)... (this time) =D

my 2 cents, not to mention my own experience...
