Do you think it's a green light to flirt with him? Also, he's a salesman so I don't know if he's being nice to make a sale off of me.

Actually, in this case I would say he just was embarrassed that he got your name wrong and that he was thinking something else when you said you owed him one. Try to see if there are any other signs of flirtation, not sales tactics.

It IS for some, and an embarrasing sign for others. So, difficult to say about your man.
You have to watch for other signs, such as flirting with you, suggestive looking eyes, and many other clues, before deciding that the blush is a sing of attraction or embarrasment. Only then, can you make your move, if he hasn't by then.
