Prosecuting overseas criminals?

Question

What happens if you talk to a girl for a few months, who claims to be studying in Africa, but has money in the UK.

She just wants you to send her a few thousand to get on a plane, which she will pay you back once she arrives. You are unsure if you want to continue this relation, BUT,

Then she calls you one day, crying on the phone, she is gonna die, she got mugged, her money got taken & she was taken to a hospital, but she lost lots of pints of blood where she was beaten.

Not only her, but fake doctor calls & other people, till you are going crazy, send her the money not knowing if she really is dying for need of money for blood transplants, end up losing your job, your money, even car because of them sending you counterfeit money orders (looked to be from wal-mart) after which your bank demands all the money at one time or you face criminal charges for cashing them, sending them to the person to help out (not knowing they are fake).

Is there a way to prosecute this lying criminal?

I was taken advantage of, due to, I was lonely, and this girl played on my loneliness, lying to me, using me, crying, calling 20 times a day, not being able to block calls, even having them call you through ip-relay mess to still get up with you, after they already took everything you had, still trying to use you more and get you in more trouble.

Can't this criminals be caught? I know it was stupid, but I had so much going on in my life, I was going crazy, this sent me over the edge. I wanted to die, if not for my mom, I would have been sent to jail for criminal charges when I was only trying to be honest and help someone.

I can't believe they will use me like this, claiming to be my girlfriend and all kinds of things.

Please help! Does anyone know how to fix this, get it back, or prosecute these people?

Far as I know, they were legit age, but, she really took advantage of me, playing my emotions, I didn't care if she died etc, if I didn't send it, she was gonna pay me back, which supposedly criminals stole that from her, and it was my fault for sending it to the wrong people, etc, can't i send her (another) bit of money, to help her out, etc, this woman put me through hell as well as my mom and dad. We are a poor family who has worked hard for everythign we had, but this woman worked the I am yoru girlfriend card too death, and succeeded in using me.

It made me angry afterwards, because I trusted in her, and she sounded so genuine at first.

I'm so sorry to hear that a good person like yourself , has suffered dearly. They deff took advantage of you and I'm sure you see that now, But what's done is done . Lesson learnt here that's for sure. I had a problem but a little bit different to your situation, I had a stalker from Israel for 2 yrs stalking me online. He somehow managed to find my info after her hacked into my account and when I refused to have anythin to do with him he would email me 500 emails per day from different accounts, harrase my family members on a daily basis,by this I mean looking up every1 listed with my family name in the whitepages and asking them about me etc,(ie. calling my parents , cousins)and would send threatenin letters to my home of how he wanted to kill me, if I didnt co operate with him etc, and would go round into chatrooms advertising himself as me with all my info on his profiles aswell as my home number/ address. Also would go in a Australian chatroom advertisin crap bout me, saying ugh nvm I wont go there but it was REALLY BAD... I fought so hard to get him to leave me alone. I went down to my nearest police station with the documents that he had sent me and they couldnt do anything so I contacted Israel Police, (as this was the only thing yahoo told me to do since they couldnt do anything,but delete the profiles he made and to block him) and notified them of what he was doing, But all they did say to me was I could take him to court with proof of what he did only if i was willing to go to Israel. So If your really serious and you want to take this further, You might need to go to her country . Whatever you choose to do GoodLuck with it .

Ok, so you got caught out, where is she did you report her, try to report her
using the email address, this may lead the police to the actual culprit..............

Now the problem would be if she was underage, and you then asked her to
join you, or alternatively she had committed a crime in Africa and you then
got her into the Country illegally.........................................................................

Go to your local Police tell them everything, before these people take someone
else, do not let anyone blackmail you out of telling the truth, if you are honest
maybe some smart Policeman or women will catch the culprit for you..............
