I agree, everyone wants world peace but no one wants to to the work for it. Everyone wants to be right. Everyone wants to believe in the TRUE faith. Well the only true faith is the one that is true to you and you alone. Let everyone believe what they want. No one knows what's going to happen when we die, and no one knows where we will go, if we go anywhere. What would happen if Christians who believe so hard that they will go to heaven, end up in the hell they so fear? What if EVERYONE went to heaven? We will never know. Never!! So let everyone be, and keep your mouths shut. No one needs to hear your opinion on how another's faith is wrong, because your's could so easily be the wrong one too.

The reason for this is for so long the religions have used there ideas as a means by which to control through fear and violence that people are sick of it!

There has been a shift in our collective consciousness and an awakening to the evidance presented by science and people realize a God is a fantasy idea with no basis in reality.

In order to try and bring about change in the world the ideas of this God figure must be addressed and that does mean showing how it is full of more holes then swiss cheese!
The ideas of religion are very wrong from moral, ethical and social points! All someone needs to do to see this is actually look at what is written in these so called holy books!

Penn & Teller said it best, "READ THE BIBLE THE WORLD NEEDS MORE ATHEISTS!"

world peace? if you honestly expect that to happen than you are pretty delerious. The only way that will ever come close to happening is if everyone loses all pride, ego, and sense of self. When one person decides to dedicate there life to anything than of course they are going to drive conflict. Ghandi? Never lifted a finger in his life, but his actions drove a lot of conflict. Thats the problem with free will, you want people to get along drop the free will from the human.

if you want a slant on the truth as predecided go to sunday school . you can get all the bias your heart desires but some differ in opinion from religion to religion and otherwise . if the beliefs of others insults you leave I live with it. Many of what some consider mocking are just the confidence of another in their comfirmed grasp of their truth . No adults are immune to disagreement so live and learn many do.Also what you deem worthy others are offended by .

Many people are in the mins set that they are right - others are wrong. why, becuase it gives people a sence of power and authority over someone...or they think that.

I share your concerns. I cant believe how much people bash each other. And here we are trying to create a right enviroment for ourfamiilies and chidlren but still we do not follow our own words.

Power - thats the reason i see for all of this.

If only everybody thought the same way, then the world would be a lot better place. But it seems like everybody is quick to judge, rather than put themselves in someone else's place for a change. It's hard to change people's ingrained prejudices.

I think you are right. People can't get along. Somewhere along the way we've become enstranged from each other and most of us think we've got it all figured out. So I think, for the sake of argument, people mock other people because they themselves aren't prepared enough to dispute and stand by their own beliefs... hence, they're dispalyng a macho attitude that stinks of immaturity... and that's how come we still have wars.

Perhaps Yahoo should have sub-divided "Religion & Spirituality" into distinct, "sub-religious" categories, i.e. Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Ba'hai, etc. Until then, we're all stuck together, rather you like it or not! And people are surprised by all this distain?? Blame Yahoo. It's like going into a music store, and finding ALL genres of music crammed together under the 'category' of "Music", instead of just dividing it all into an orgranized fashion tro make it easier on us.

Dear Friend,

Jesus said the most important commandments to a Christian were:

Matthew 22: 36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'[b] 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[c] 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Love your neighbour as yourself, this trancends all barriers and is absolute to a Christian.

God Bless
