Christ was both God and Man. He was God incarnate, God taking on a human body. To be a bridge between man and God He would have to be equal to both. This is what the Old Testament predicted of Him. Isaiah 9:6 says "For unto us A CHILD IS BORN, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, The Prince of Peace". Incidently, that prophecy was written 700 years before Christ was born.

Yes. This is why Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Son of Man. This is why the Word has to become flesh and to dwell among us (John 1:14),

Seriously, where does this need to reconcile come from, and where in the OT does it ever imply that there can be a combination man/god? If you look carefully, it does have places that state there will never be anything like that...

Yes. Because man is reconciled to God (and not vice versa), which means that an ontological change is necessary. That being the case, Jesus could have only secured such an ontological union between God and Man if he were actually one in essence with the Father.

Definitely. It took Divine blood to atone for sin - nothing else would suffice. That is why Christ was fully man (born into the human family) and fully God (Divine blood). God Bless.

to suggest so is surely blasphemous? God is the one true and living God, Jesus, like many before him was a prophet, a holy man yes, but a God, no.

Interpolated bibles say Jesus pbuh the son of god and son of man. It contradicts itself.
