what does that mean? Are they just being nice or are they confused?

I confirmed plans with him after 3 months of being a scaredy cat. I asked him out before, he said yes but I ran out the door. I don't normally ask guys out.

This time I asked him out, he got down to my eye level and smiled while I talked. I told him I'd like to take him out for a drink, I asked if he wanted my number. He said he lost it (I never gave it to him) and he got quiet and said, "To be honest, I'm involved".... and ended the conversation with "I appreciate it"...

The whole conversation though, he was smiling and his eyes were so gentle. I guess I was a little too late.

Oh .. He's just a really sweet guy, honey .. You must put him out of your mind now .. He didn't want to hurt you .. This can feel bad, but it is a lot better than have someone give you emotional baggage by making one feel worthless ..

You will soon get someone who'll really treasure you .. Just move on now .. Good luck .. keep smiling .. All will be fine .. My best wishes ..

From what you just wrote, it seems he is flattered by your actions. He is just trying to be nice and charming.

One thing sure, he doesn't like you or maybe... just maybe... the way you approach him.

In our generation today, there are few guys out there who are still conservative. They don't like the idea of girls asking guys for a date.

But, he is nice, not to take advantage of you. Usually other boys would grab the opportunity and pretend to like a girl who obviously like him and ended up sadly for the girl or others would just send the news around the globe that u like him and make fun of you.

So, next time be careful. Don't worry, you will find your match. Who knows' maybe he is just around the corner.

He's a sweet guy who didn't want to hurt your feelings. It's a sweet rejection. It's not easy letting someone, who is interested in you, know that you're not into him/her.
