Ooooh one of my favorite questions. You can take it even further though: A criminal holds someone up on the street with a gun. The guy refuses to give up his wallet even after they criminal says he'll shoot. Then the criminal goes before the judge and says, hey it was his fault, I told him I'd shoot--and the judge buys it. Just sub soul for wallet and you have christianity.

That isn't how God is. He does not have a gun to our head, it more like, here are my laws, keep them and it shall be well with you, but break my laws, and you shall suffer the consequence that has been set from the beginnig of time. If we obey the law we have a love and appreciation for the one that gave us the law. There are many people that live the commandement and they not even know it, or acknowledge His prensence, but that is why God is a fair judge and he knows us, He knows our hearts, and desires.

God does not force you to do anything. If God did do that then all people would be love His and Obey Him
We have been given a choise. All of us.Yes it says you will gain eternal Life if you accept Jesus into your heart. But that is a choise you dont have to go it.
God donsnt push anything. we have a free will to choose things.
God never demans love. He never did. He created us because he loves us and wanted to have relationship with us. But when Adam sined, God could have turned back time and made all better. But still God gave US THE CHOISE. He didnt threaten. He gave adam and eve a choise and they disobyed him. Look through the Bible. People disobayed God many times but he forgave them.
We hurt God so many times yet he is fatihful and he forgives. GOD IS LOVE. GOD IS NOT A THREAT

Great question. I've often wondered this myself. Why would we want to worship someone who threatens to make us suffer for eternity if we don't believe in him. So that means, I can lead a good life, and be a wonderful person and good samaratin, and not believe in God, and he will send me to hell anyway. Fine. I'd rather be in hell than with a God who judges me by my skepticism rather than my heart.

No, you're wrong.
God says:
"Okay, you don't believe in me, you don't love me, you have rejected me your entire life on Earth. Why would you want to be with Me in heaven? I'll bet you don't. Let me give you what you've always wanted.....eternity without me.....therefore I send you to Hell.....the one place in all the Universe I will not be present.....and because I am not there...there is no love, no hope, no joy, no peace, nothing good....you see, all these things exist because of Me and come from Me. There is nothing good without Me. I give you what you've always wanted."
Please answer this: why would you want to be in heaven if you don't love God? Why would you want to be with someone you've passionately rejected? God just wants you to be happy........

It's not like He hasn't given us a whole lot of time to contemplate the options. You can act as shocked and horrified as you want, but if I were you I'd be looking into the love and obey thing.

He's good enough to show us the way to a great eternity, He could just keep quiet u know............... besides sometimes our parents threaten us to do certain thing (like study) because its good for us. we only see that it takes away our play-time but they know that not studying could be harmful to our future.
God, like a parent would go to any length to do the best for His kids, so we're luck to have Him.
