I've never given it a second thought, but then I've never seen anyone do it who got lipstick in the sauce either! I think I break a tortilla chip off more than that I put my lips/mouth all around it and then take half of it out, there may be a little contact but not enough to leave lipstick or gobs of spit in the dip. I've always assumed other people did the same thing, except perhaps little kids who still tend to drool on all kinds of foods.

Personally, I find double dipping to be fine only amongst family.
Amongst other people, just get alot of sauce on a french fry or a carrot stick and try to spread out the sauce.

I hate double dipping if you are sharing! If you are eating something on your plate, it's ok, but if you are sharing please don't double dip! I usually will get a small saucer or bowl and place the dip or sauce on my plate with a spoon so that I don't have to share. I would have stopped eating it immediately!

That is SO not OK!!! If you see her about to double dip again you can either use humor and be like, "I don't mind sharing my ranch sauce with you, just as long as you don't share your germs, this is a no double dipping zone!"
And if you don't feel you can't use humor be like, "hey can I get you your own bowl for you, that way we don't have to worry about spreading germs. Thanks!"
If she she gets mad or her feelings hurt....oh well.....
As far as my feelings on DDing, In public it's not okay, but if it's just my husband and myself then I don't mind....otherwise it's just GROSS!!!
LOL goodluck with the double dipper!

I think its bad form to do it when others are using the same dip, but if you're the only one dipping, its fine

That is gross and very nasty. One should only dip or even double dip on their own plate. That is just nasty, and If I were you I would tell her to keep her paws on her own plate. Since only someone lacking manners would eat off of someones plate. That is gross. Good luck and God bless****

Don't eat lunch with your co-worker anymore. And don't eat the lipstick in your dressing. Ask for another cup of dressing from the waiter.
You shouldn't feel bad if you do this. Your co-worker is the one who should feel embarrassed...not you. That's bad ettiquette and very BAD MANNERS.
I don't care if she was the Vice President or CEO either. That's just TACKY!!!

I would call her on it jokingly. "Someone double dipped. Is that lipstick I see?"
I don't care for double dipping. Spreads germs.

i wouldn't eat it if it had her lipstick in it... you don't know where she has had her mouth. Double dipping is okay between close people, but otherwise it is just too gross
