Four revelations of Allah (swt) are mentioned by name in the Qur’an: the Taurah, the Zaboor, the Injeel and the Qur’an.

Taurah, the revelation i.e. the Wahi given to Moosa (a. s.) i.e. Moses (pbuh).
Zaboor, the revelation i.e. the Wahi given to Dawood (a.s.) i.e. David (pbuh).
Injeel, the revelation i.e. the Wahi given to Isa (A.S.) ie. Jesus (pbuh).
‘Al-Qur’an’, the last and final Wahi i.e. revelation given to the last and final Messenger Muhammad (pbuh).

It is an article of faith for every Muslim to believe in all the Prophets of God and all revelations of God. However, the present day Bible has the first five books of the Old Testament attributed to Moses and the Psalms attributed to David. Moreover the New Testament or the four Gospels of the New Testament are not the Taurah, the Zaboor or the Injeel, which the Qur’an refers to. These books of the present day Bible may partly contain the word of God but these books are certainly not the exact, accurate and complete revelations given to the prophets.

The Qur’an presents all the different prophets of Allah as belonging to one single brotherhood; all had a similar prophetic mission and the same basic message. Because of this, the fundamental teachings of the major faiths cannot be contradictory, even if there has been a considerable passage of time between the different prophetic missions, because the source of these missions was one: Almighty God, Allah. This is why the Qur’an says that the differences which exist between various religions are not the responsibility of the prophets, but of the followers of these prophets who forgot part of what they had been taught, and furthermore, misinterpreted and changed the scriptures. The Qur’an cannot therefore be seen as a scripture which competes with the teachings of Moses, Jesus and the other prophets. On the contrary, it confirms, completes and perfects the messages that they brought to their people.

Another name for the Qur’an is the ‘The Furqan’ which means the criteria to judge the right from the wrong, and it is on the basis of the Qur’an that we can decipher which part of the previous scriptures can be considered to be the word of God.

i hope i understood your question correctly, you're asking why muslims believe in Quran after Jesus already existed and why muslims now belive because some documented the book years ago? haha. ok, then answer this, why do Christians belive the bible and why do Jewish people belive the Torah? those books were documented by people who "saw" and experienced these events in history right? plus, teh bible was a documentation of histroy, the Quran is the words of God. if you read the book you would understand how no human being could have written it, it is the most complex language and has so many hidden codes and meanings. instead of asking people a question that makes absolutely no sense, read the book and see for urself why muslims believe in it. You're question should be directed to Christianity since for hundreds of years gospels and other parts of the bible show up in different areas of the world that contradict the new testament. ever wondered why muslims never have that? no secrets or lies or hidden documents in the Quran, you get it as it is...

Well the bible was also written after Jesus (pbuh) "death" (about 60 to 100 years later). The Bible was written by man this is why there are so many contradictions between each Gospel for example:

Did Jesus bear his own cross?

(a) Yes (John 19:17)
(b) No (Matthew 27:31-32)

or

Where was Jesus at the sixth hour on the day of the crucifixion?

(a) On the cross (Mark 15:23)
(b) In Pilate’s court (John 19:14)

Yet the Quran is the Word of God, the way it was revealed was by God instructing Gabriel to recite these verse to Muhammad (pbuh).
[Quran 4:157] And their saying: Surely we have killed the Messiah, Isa son of Marium, the messenger of Allah; and they did not kill him nor did they crucify him, but it appeared to them so (like Isa) and most surely those who differ therein are only in a doubt about it; they have no knowledge respecting it, but only follow a conjecture, and they killed him not for sure.

The Quranic account does not dispute that people saw a crucifiction of man that they thought to be Christ. But the Quran says that it wasn't.

If you think the Quranic account is false don't worry, God has given you a falsification test.

[Quran 2:23] And if you are in doubt as to that which We have revealed to Our servant, then produce a chapter like it and call on your witnesses besides Allah if you are truthful.

Simple produce a chapter like the Quran and we'll believe it is not from God!

I have seen where the muslims say a "angel of light" came to mohammad, the thing with that is satan is referred to as the angel of light.
Jesus Christ is the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. There was no need for another "book". Jesus Christ was and is the Testament.

The same reason Christian believe in a book written hundreds of years after Jesus died. Nothing was written about him by anyone that ever saw him it was a story that was passed down generation to generation until somebody finally decided to create a novel about his life. No offense intended here either; but I don't believe in religion.

what u ar saying doesn't make sense to me also.
we believe in the Quran cuz it is the true word of God it hasn't been changed since it was revealed , with no contradictions , valide for all times.

the Qur’an’s claim as the record of the word of God dictated to His prophet, is borne out by the following facts: The speaker in the Qur’an is God talking directly to man. The sayings of the Prophet, called hadiths, are in other books. The Qur’an repeatedly says that it is the word of God. It has self-reference; that is to say, it names itself 70 times as the Qur’an.
in coparison, The Bible does not contain self-reference; that is, the word “bible” is not in the Bible. In fact, only certain Christian groups believe that the Bible—in its entirety—is the revealed word of God. The presence of so many contradictions and patently questionable ideas makes this claim untenable.

The verses of the Qur’an were revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him), in the course of 23 years of his life, as and when the events in the unfolding development of the religion of God called for divine guidance. As soon as the Prophet received these verses, he dictated them to his disciples, who not only wrote them down, but also learned them by heart. There were so many people who memorized the Qur’an, we can say that from the first day of its revelation, as it were, the Qur’an was in the hearts and hands of the people.

Before the death of the Last Prophet, the whole of the Qur’an was written down, examined, and verified by the Prophet himself. From that time onwards, it has remained safe from corruption, as several copies of it were in the possession of the Muslims. Also, from the moment the verses were revealed, up to the present day, a considerable number of Muslims have learned them by heart. Did you know that the Qur’an is the most frequently read book in the world? Five times a day in prayer, Muslims have to recite from its chapters. This has been continuing throughout history, so it has been impossible to make any changes to its verses, even if someone wanted to do so. Moreover, God has promised in the Qur’an:
*{Certainly, it was We Who revealed the Reminder (the Qur’an) and certainly We shall preserve it.}* (Al-Hijr 15:9)

One of the foremost reasons for the Qur’an’s continued incorruptibility is that it has been preserved in its original language, unlike the Bible. Thus the Qur’an we have today is the same Qur’an that the Prophet received from God. Its authenticity is unimpeachable.

One of the miracles of the Qur'an, which was revealed 14 centuries ago is the fact that it can be read and understood by the Arabic-speaking people living today. Every language undergoes changes as time passes, and a hundred or two hundred years is long enough for a language to undergo substantial changes. Thus anyone who knows the rudiments of the history of languages, knows that logically it should be impossible for the Arabic-speaking peoples of today to read and understand a book 1,400 years old. And yet, everyday, every hour, every minute, in fact, every second of the 24 hours of the 365 days of every year of the past centuries has been alive with the reading and the studying of the Qur'anic verses. And so it goes on into the future.

Ernst Würthwein informs us in his book The Text Of The Old Testament:
With the victory of Islam the use of Arabic spread widely, and for Jews and Christians in the opened lands it became the language of daily life. This gave rise to the need for Arabic versions of the Bible, which need was met by a number of versions mainly independent and concerned primarily for interpretation.” (Ernst Würthwein, The Text Of The Old Testament, 1988, William B Eerdmans Publishing Company, Grand Rapids, Michigan, pp. 104.)
Thus the first translations of the Hebrew Bible in Arabic appeared after the advent of Islam. In fact, the oldest dated manuscript of the Old Testament in Arabic dates from first half of the ninth century.

What about the New Testament? Sidney H Griffith, who has done extensive research on the appearance of the Arabic New Testament says:
The oldest, dated manuscript containing the Gospels in Arabic is Sinai Arabic MS 72. Here, the text of the four canonical Gospels is marked off according to the lessons of the temporal cycle of the Greek liturgical calendar of the Jerusalem Church. A colophon informs us that the MS was written by Stephen of Ramleh in the year 284 of the Arabs, i.e., 897 AD.” (Sidney H Griffith, "The Gospel In Arabic: An Enquiry Into Its Appearance In The First Abbasid Century," Oriens Christianus, Volume 69, p. 131-132).
It is well known that the Prophet did not know how to read or write—he was illiterate. So the charge that he plagiarized the Bible is untenable, even if an Arabic copy existed in his time. Allah Almighty answered such criticism fourteen centuries ago in these verses:
*{Your Companion is neither astray nor being misled. Nor does he say (aught) of (his own) Desire. It is no less than inspiration sent down to him. He was taught by One Mighty in Power. }* (An-Najm 53:2-5)

i mean no offense.

peace.

Muslim means who submits completely to the will of Almighty God, Therefore Prophet Abraham was Muslim, Prophet Moses was Muslim, and Prophet Jesus was also Muslim.

As I said no one founded Islam, Islam is since Prophet Adam.
