A box of catfood says chicken flavored...does it really taste like chicken?

you can get a good idea of what something tastes like from the smell- smell and taste are very closely linked. based on this - no it tastes nothing like chicken - it probably tastes absolutely vile to a human!! I think the different flavours of cat food do taste different to a cat but probably nothing like what they say they taste like

you have several options - buy a tin and taste it
gety a job working for a pet manufactureres - as humans sample the catfood - yes seriously, they have a human sampler
buy and cook a chicken put it on 1 plate, open a tin of chicken catfood - put it ont he other - and havea taster sampler day - you can even invite the neighbours and their cats!!!

Try it. Me and my boyfriend tried a chicken flavored dog treat just for the fun of it because my dog went absolutely crazy over it and it was no where near the taste of it. It was just dry and tasted like-nothing. lol I doubt any cat/dog food tastes like its actual flavour. But try it and see. =]

When you've tried it can you let me know? The possibilities are interesting; catfood pies, catfood curry, roast catfood with stuffing. Mind you bearing mind modern poultry production practices, we're probably better off with catfood...

I would say yes it does from a cats point of view lol but if you we tried to eat it it would taste very tastless

I dont know anyone stupid enough to try it so i wouldnt know but you if you want to know then the only way is to taste it.
