Why is it that Christians does not care if an 8 year old preaches for Jesus but attack him if he rejectst the same idea?

I have got this expirience from my Christian parents.

You seem to be lumping all Christians together with your parents. Not all Christian parents would do that. I know I wouldn't do that to my daughter when she's 8. When my teenage nephew told me he had doubts God existed a few years ago, I don't go off on him. Eventually he returned to the Christian faith on his own, and now he's studying to be a youth minister. Maybe your view of Christians is colored by bad experiences with your parents ( I know mine was). It sounds like you're projecting the issues you have with them on to all Christians, rather than face your Parental issues. My advice, get some counseling.

Christianity is, like all other religions, a cult. A cult cannot survive unless it can silence all those who question or defy it. They're just as willing to attack a child as anyone if they believe doing so will advance their goals.

Because they want their 8 year olds going up to strangers and saying things like "I'm so sad you are going to hell for not accepting jesus, and it makes me cry, you don't want me to cry, do you?" If you dont buy their crap, they can't get you to do it.

I don't know, but a more troubling question for me is why they think it's okay for them to proselytize (or have their kids proselytize) to our kids. But, if we tell their kids about our beliefs, that's totally unacceptable.

There are so many double standards.
