I do agility with my pomeranian and I have seen some chis at the trials. Some are really good. Check out the utube video that Lani posted for you if you have any doubts. The jumps in competition are set for the size of the dogs. The only issue would be the teeter if you chi is very small. They also have a toy dog agility competitions in some areas. For small breeds only.

Hi - good for you for trying this! I take three of my dogs to agility classes and they are all ready to compete this year. Fantastic hobby really enjoyable.

Try agilitynet.com and agilityeye.co.uk. I know the agility net has a list of the majority of the clubs within the UK so thats probably a good place to start.

Good luck!!

If you have some kind of Agility Club in your area, this could be a good resource for you for training places. Where I'm at, our local club meets weekly just for the members to be able to train their dogs. Lots of good connections established this way too.

A well-trained dog makes everyone happy, including his owner. Take a little time training him, and you'll never regret it; you'll always have an obedient dog by your side. Find more https://tr.im/IpVEu

By their nature, dogs are pack animals with a well-defined social order. Through basic training, you need to consistently make sure your puppy understands that you are the leader, not him. So in teaching him the basic rules, you take on the role of pack leader.

To fit into the family circle, your dog must be taught to recognize his name and such commands as come, heel, lie down and sit.

I'd be very reluctant to just take the word of folks on a non-specialist website (or, for that matter, any website) for something as sensitive as dog training.

It would probably be worth visiting specialist forums for dogs and dog training. Do keep in mind that it's an emotive topic - people believe very strongly in their favourite methods of dog training, and will not truck any disagreement, in some cases.

Try visiting httP://www.petfriendlyworld.com/, and http://www.doglistener.co.uk/ (and its forum http://ccgi.doglistener.co.uk/cgi-bin/DGLforum/YaBB.pl ) for a start.

There are no doubt specific groups for fly ballers, and you could no doubt start finding classes that way. Make sure you take up references, and treat it as if you were hiring a dog-sitter or a nanny. This is 'man's best friend' we're talking about, so you want to make sure you get it right.

Good luck!

Dogs are usually eager to learn, and the key to success is good communication. Your dog needs to understand how you’d like her to behave and why it’s in her best interest to comply with your wishes.
