I'm in college and lets just say that it has been hinted that I should get a fashion makeover (by a girl). Well, I understand you ladies love giving guys fashion makeovers, so can you give me some advice?

I wear sweats (and athletic warm-up type pants on occasion) and a t-shirts a lot. If I'm being athletic, basketball shorts and a t-shirt. Sandals I wear a lot when the weather is appropriate. I was told that jeans look good on guys, but I basically never wear them.
I'm looking for a laid-back Southern California look.

if you have a hard time putting together a style of your own, you should check out magazines and music videos and pick out what you like and don't like. it's easy to rock a look or go shopping if you have certain clothing in mind.
definitely go with a look that is "you" instead of just going with what is trendy...you'll only end up looking and acting like someone you're not, and chicks pick up on that sort of thing right away.
you could also find a fabulous gay friend who could be your personal shopper and help you put your look together.

The truth is, most men wear their clothes until they disintegrate, and if they would just go buy a few new clothes every season, they would look a whole lot better.
As for what style, pick whatever's comfortable, just don't be TOO anything. Not too casual, but not too stuffy. Not too drab, but not too colorful ... You get the idea.

screw that girl, wear what you want!
My boyfriend said that his ex would constantly tell him that he should change his style, that he looked bad, that he should do this and that. They broke up for generally not working out. I love his style, I think it's unique, very him and kind of sexy. Proves that the right person will like the REAL you!

Rock your own personal style and maybe jazz it up a bit depending on your personality...takes time but you'll get the swing of it good luck :0)

it's hard to do that, especially when all we can see is your avatar.
so all i can say is; be clean and never overdo on jewelry, or else you might look like an idiot/guy who just loves to show off. but then, this applies to everyone.

don't wear tight pants, ur pants should be little baggy and wear shirts that match with your pants color and spike your hair or something, i always advice my guy friends if i think they need advise! gudluck =)
