They both have their pros and cons, matte you can see the picture better, but they are not as bright. And glossy they can be too shiny, but they make the picture look bright.

I've always been a fan of matte prints. They don't need glass frames and look gorgeous when printed in large formats.

I've never been a fan of glossy prints as they look too cheap in my opinion. It's something you'll see in scrap books more than a print that's made for the wall.

All prints in my studio and studios I've worked for in the past do strictly matte.

It depends on what you're going to use them for. Glossy is the finish that's used for everyday snapshots. Matte is a little more of a professional finish.

depends if you want to frame them, if you frame them behind glass go with matte, because the glass will reflect a lot of light already.
