Complex carbohydrates are what they are. Be it rice, potatoes, bread or noodles The world is full of nutritious vegetables to try. Roasted veggies are great and work well with carrots (a bit carbohydrate heavy), broccoli, mushrooms, onions, fresh green beans, peppers (fresh) just spray with some olive oil or lightly rub with olive oil for flavor and the fat calories won't be significant Put it in the oven until tender. Or use more steamed veggies with sprinkling of Parmesan cheese for flavor. Fresh cut up fresh fruits and fruits canned in their own juice mixed with a small amount of honey (20 calories a teaspoon) and sprinkle with cinnamon. Have fun and the weight will come off.

Never mind replacing it just add lecithin to the dish.. it'll break down the food in your system faster and less chance to turn into fat.
Also If U have 2 glasses lemon Juice and 2 pickles in the morning shortly after U get up
this will increase your metabolism rate in other
words cause what U eat to burn fast.. Oh if U sit around more than walk around U don't need
any more than 2 small meals a day. Food is fuel for energy U use. Your body is your earth flesh vehicle... If U overflow it you're bound to have problems.. Overeating can be compared to overflowing your cars gas tank.. would U do that... Maybe a car would if it had the ability refuel itself! (that's exactly want happened on a Jetson's Cartoon.. Jetson's Boss got a new robotic car and it overfilled itself.. Rosey Jetson's Robot came to the Rescue! Wish Jetson's would come back on TV!
Oh try Spinach rice available at Most Health Food stores! Drink Oolong tea (chinese green tea) You can make Tomato Rice Soup
The acid in tomatos can help burn up fats. I often cook my rice in tomato juice instead of water. That way I don't need to add anything
like butter salt or soya sauce to it!
There is nothing that really replaces rice! If U
eat the right rice U won't get fat. It's white rice
that's not good. Use.. yellow,green,brown,black
blue..(yes there's blue rice. looks a bit on the purple side. expensive but delicious a tad radishy tasting.. it comes from Dallas.. I think!
Oh U could shred cabbage to make it look like
rice and steam that..mix it with mushrooms and
put low cal margerine on it!

Whole grain rice is so much healthier than white rice, and if you ever fry your rice, try and use the soy sauce low in sodium. You could also replace some of your pasta with pasta that is spinach based (the pasta has a green color but taste really good) as well as with whole grain pasta. Also, stay away from white bread and eat whole grain or wheat bread. Wheat and whole grain are good for you in general, but i believe whole grain is the best. Beans and nuts are also great as they are low in fat, but are high in nutrients, protein (nuts), and fiber (beans). These are all some of the foods that are somewhat like gas for the human body.

Hate to bust your bubble it is not just the rice. Heck the main staple of the skinniest people on this planet is rice. You are going to have to take a hard look at your whole diet. And what you snack on between meals. That also includes what you drink between mieals. Then a hard look at how hard you work or excerise or don't excerise.
When I said whole diet that also includes that stick of butter you put in the rice when cooking it. That oil you are cooking the meat in. Those two bowls of ice cream while you are watching T.V. That 2 liter bottle of coke or that pitcher of sweet tea. Those donuts you had for breakfast. That bowl of ceral loaded with sugar you had for breakfast. Those waffles with half a bottle of syrup you had for breakfast. Just to name a few.
Brown rice will work just as good as white rice and it tastes better as well. But cook it in water not drowning in butter.

Cous Cous is a grain like rice not a carb like pasta or bread. And it's real easy to make! One to one cous cous to water and it's done in about one minute!! Lots of Middle Eastern and North African cuisine use this, so the recipes are VERY tasty!! Or use it like you would rice! It's much more lite but still great flavor!! Ciao!!

Rice is fine when it's brown or whole grain. It's the white rice that makes you gain weight. Same with pasta.

try eatting smaller portions of rice or try a wild rice, brown rice, barley. But definatly cut down on your portions, you could eat more vegetables to fill up, I am not saying cut it out of your diet, just cut down.
