Rye, wheat, pumpernickel....any of that is healthier than white bread. Always look for "whole" breads as opposed to "enriched".

Better than some, might be worse than others. It all depends on what rye and the bakery you are talking about.
Never mind the comment about "dyverticulitis," not true nor is the spelling right.
Whatever the case, it is almost assuredly going to be better for you than Webber's (now owned by Bimbo) or Roman Meal or the likes. When in doubt, just try to use common sense and read labels.

Only if it's whole grain. And rye breads are usually not. It's possible for rye seeds to get lodged in the intestinal folds. This is more common in older people, and it's called dyverticulitis. Other seeds contribute too...berries, etc. Also large ground black pepper.
