He is a really great guy, and he is getting his own place at the end of this month. He has asked me to move in with him. I am a Christian, but have made mistakes in the past (having a child and getting divorced). My boyfriend has been a strong rock for the past year, and has respected my wishes to back off of the relationship and develop a friendship when I have asked this of him. I believe it will work out if we have God in our lives, but it would look bad to others. He is really great with my daughter, and would do anything for me or her. A day feels empty if I don't talk to him or see him. He wants to marry me, but I'm not sure if he is the one for me. Am I just wanting to get out of my parents' house? I don't want to make any more mistakes like my past.

First off Christian or not it doesn't matter if it looks bad to people or not. If you have doubts about it tell him that you don't want to make the mistake again of moving too fast (like the divorce) you could try living in two bedrooms, or telling him that you'll think about it more and after he moves if you decide you feel comfortable with it you will be added to the lease.

good luck, follow your heart as a christian believe that god will tell you what is right for YOU

How can you tell you child you're a Christian if you live with this guy. It isn't reconcilable. If you were in some churches they would tell you either move out, or get out of the church.
A lot of churches today are "tolerant" which means they no longer follow the examples of Christ and the bible. Like it or not, you cheapen yourself in the eyes of God when you live with someone.
So I would say no if you really profess to being a Christian. It is a hard path but so worth it in the end.

You sound like you already know your answer. I think your best bet is to continue living with your parents, and to save money to live on your own. Your daughter should be the number one priority and if she is stable at your parents, then I wouldnt change that for a "maybe" thing.
If youre a christian, pray about it. But it seems like you want to stay right where you are, and thats not so bad.

Dear unknown friend, I really don't know what to say but as you say, you are not sure if he is a good choice for you as a husband or not than what is the use to be with him, do you want him to be with you for some time and then get with another one? we can't ignore people's view about us, because we live in a society with others and we should respect the rule. as you said you want to have The God between you, does The God allow you to be with a stranger just for fun, what about your daughter, what does she think of you in future. the last advice is , better to marry with him if you are sure of him, otherwise get away and run your life alone and let your daughter and yourself have good name in future.

Well, you will never now how it will work if you don't try. If he is great with both you and your daughter, then he is the man for you. If you know in you heart he is not the one, then leave him alone now. If you are just scare then get over the fear and make a change. I know it's hard, but make that first step.Good luck

God wants us to be happy and to make the lives of everyoen around us better, and to give up that chance for somehtign better for you him and y oru daughter, for the sake of somethign as earthly and temporary as a few dirty looks from neighbors is downright shameful! Do what you know is right, what your heart says is right.

Dont live with him. Maintain your separate place. But do consider marrying him and try to see if he is interested in that as well. Thats the best thing to do and you are right, we must not ignore God.

Sounds like you need more time before making another big commitment. There's nothing wrong with that. If he loves you and wants to marry you, he'll understand. Good luck
