ok so im 16 and havent had a girlfriend yet, i need some advice on how to get one and what to do, im kinda of shy, please be detailed thanks

- Scope the scene for a girl you could be interested in. Look for someone you enjoy being with and could like in a romantic way.
- Break the ice by talking to her about something casual like what she's interested in.
- Continue talking with her daily and don't be shy. Don't think too much about starting a relationship, just getting to know her.
- If she appears interested (looks at you a lot, seems very eager to talk to you, laughs at your jokes) say "We should hang out sometime". If she responds happily and seems excited..
- A few days later ask her to the movies with some friends or alone. Give her specifics like day and time. If she says she's busy, ask her if there's a time she'd prefer to go. If she seems hesitant, it's a no and try someone else.
- If she says yes, bingo. Go to the movies and be yourself. Don't think about the relationship, just getting better acquainted.
- Ask her on a second date out to dinner alone. If she says yes, be more flirtatious. If the date goes well call her a few days later and tell you had a great time and you'd like to do something again.
- On the third date try putting your arm around her or holding her hand. If you manage this, the way is paved.
- Ask her to be your girlfriend with flowers on a nice date. If she says yes, wonderful. If not, start back at square one with someone else.

Hey you're only 16 so concentrate on playing sports and studying. Girls will come naturally as you get older. When the next school dance comes around go ask a girl you like but make you have about 5 girls you can ask so that if you get turned down you can move on to another.

Best off not to try to rush. You've got to first find some prospects. There's nothing wrong with taking your time. Just don't rush. Ask some girls in your class for help on something, and keep up a conversation by asking her questions. Start with that.
