John,you need to study history,almost 60 years of illegal occupation from india,6 million+India troops in the occupied valley,what were you talking about when you said if california decides fo asceed?And india AGRED to give right of self determination to Kashmiris,Pakistan and india gained independence from the British..

I think I know what you are talking about. If it Kashmir the reason is that Kashmir is part of India. although they claim they should be an independent nation. It would be like California wanting to succeed from the union and the UN saying that California has the right to be an independent nation. Think about how that would go over in Washington D.C. and the rest of the country. It is the same with the Kashmir State and India.
Where the problem comes in is that Pakistan also claims Kashmir as part of Pakistan. It is kind of like if Mexico suddenly decided to claim California as part of Mexico. Think about how that would go over in America.

Now here is the real problem both Pakistan and India have nuclear weapons. So if this thing gets into a shooting war over Kashmir things are going to get real dicey real fast.
