Yes, it is true. It's a temporary effect . The complexity and quality of his arrangements stimulate certain brain functions.

Yes, there is a direct connection to mozart and becoming smarter. It's from an old research paper called the "mozart effect" that stating that parents who had their children listen to mozart before and after they were born did better in school.

Unfortunately, people have long since proven this untrue, and the study had a lot of flaws. For one, people who played mozart for their children also tended to be wealthier, more involved parents, and that in its self probably effected the child's later life much more than what music was played.

Still though, many people still believe that listening to mozart will make them smarter. it's become sort of an urban legend.

The theory is that listening to classical music (mozart) helps you study more effectively and reatain information better. This has worked in a few instances where people listened to the music while studying, and then again while taking a test, and the memory of the music was tied to the memory of whatever was being studied so the music made it easier to recall. This works in very few people and in only when they have the music during studying and the test. So no Mozart wont help you remember, but classical music can improve study sessions by reducing anxiety and simply helping you relax.

That was the result of one experiment completed by graduate students. Many have tried to replicate the experiment, but have failed to obtain the same results. This means that there is no proof that listening to Mozart while studying will help you remember.

It is impossible that one single composer's music will help you remember things better - however, it may be possible that listening to a certain type of music will increase brain activity. For example, some students find it helpful to listen to classical music while studying, claiming it helps them focus on the material.

yes, i did a project about that in high school. different music can effect everyone differently, but classical music has shown that it can help people study and remember things better. my band teacher always used to tell us to practice our instruments before studying other subjects, because listening to that kind of music helps get you in the gear for studying and remembering things.

Yes, there have been studies that concluded that playing and listening to classical music when pregnant and thereafter with your child increases intellect. I think they are related.
