Oh what a beautiful morning -- oklahoma
Surrey with the fringe on top -- oklahoma
Luck be a lady (You can bring it down a few notes if you need to) -- guys and dolls
Do you hear the people sing (maybe? if you can sing it) -- les mis
I'm alone in the universe -- suessical the musical
Elegance -- hello dolly
It takes a woman -- hello dolly
Everybody says don't -- anyone can whistle

hope these helped!

a great book (if you're serious about this stuff) is:
The singer's musical theatre anthology baritone/bass
they have a bunch of volumes, and you should definetely look into it.

Bye!

Not While I'm Around from Sweeny Todd
Empty Chairs At Empty Tables from Les Miserables (It's a much better song than Stars)
None of the songs you've named are upbeat, so:
I Wanna Be a Producer from The Producers
All I Care About from Chicago
It Takes Two from Hairspray
Break a leg!

Well i would have said Ol' Man River from Showboat but if you want an upbeat one, maybe Oh What a beautiful morning, i sang that as an audition piece once or a new upbeat one, I am Aldalpho from The Drwsy Chaperone, that's a great one.

It isn't upbeat, but the classic baritone song is "Old Man River".

The one from Les Mis "I dreamed a dream" (is that the title? not Once Upon A Dream)

Try to Remember (from the Fantastiks)

oops, none of those are upbeat...

How about:

If I Loved You

Its Not Where You Start But Where You Finish (Seasaw)

If My Friends Could See Me Now (Sweet Charity)

You want something upbeat? Then definitely go with "I've Come to Wive it Wealthily in Padua" from Kiss Me Kate.
