The same thing Thomas Jefferson thought of it... "merely the ravings of a maniac."

I should ask you, what do you think of THIS?
Are the following FACTS?
Qur’an 8:60 “Infidels should not think that they can get away from us. Prepare against them whatever arms and weaponry you can muster so that you may terrorize them.”
Bukhari:V4B52N260 “The Prophet said, ‘If a Muslim discards his religion, kill him!’”
Qur’an 5:51 “Believers, take not Jews and Christians for your friends.”
Bukhari [4:52:177]: Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him!"

If they're not, then it must mean that both the islamic q'uran and hadeeths are books of FICTION.

That is what judgment day will be like - for those who are saved and know Christ as their Savior and what it'll be like for those outside of Christ. Those who do not know Christ as their Savior (unbelievers) will mourn because of their sorrow and shame of their sin and unbelief, but it'll be too late. The phrase 'His elect' refers to those who are saved - born again Christians - true believers in Christ Jesus. He will gather His elect from all over the earth and will take them with Him into heaven for all eternity; they will not suffer eternal death as will unbelievers; those that deny Christ.
For those who don't know where chucky's post is from, it's Matthew 24:30.

Is that from Lucy and the sky of diamonds? When god supposedly created the earth, did he have trumpets in mind? Also, trumpets sound great on a planet where it is covered in about 15lbs of Nitrogen and Oxygen. However, they would sound horrible on other planets. Why is god so Earth centric?

I agree because its scripture, but it raises a question about the "elect". If you interpret the elect as those who have made a conscious decision to "receive" through faith they have excercised on there own free will then Im with you. If you mean those who God picked and God Chose against their will kicking and screaming into his kingdom them you lost me.

What do I think of that. I'm sure you don't want to know what I think but you asked so I'm going to tell you. I think Christians are wrapped so tight in their cocoon of ignorance that they eat that line of fantasy with a silver spoon. You are all so afraid of loosing your little piece of your la la fantasy Land of eternity you will forsake all reason to hang on. You are so afraid your fantasy boogie man Satan will jump out and take a bite of your butt if you dare to think. Amen.
