There's a saying that goes: "Happiness and ignorance walk along with tight closed hands."
Sometimes, it is better not to know much. I am saying this because I also graduated in Theology and had to study the bible as an anthropology book, as well as a History book (or books as you will).

Nowhere in the Bible does it say you must have blind faith. Some people may say that, but they're quite wrong. Those who have blind faith might inadvertantly find themselves off on a quest to purge the holy land of the unbelievers or holed up in a building in Waco with armed forces outside.
On another note (and I'm not trying to be indignant or stubborn here), I have not seen a convincing hole in the Bible. There are some inconsistencies without plausible explanations (save integrating the past perfect form of the verb from pi to Jesus or other such nonsense), but none of them rule out the idea that Jesus died on the cross and rose again to free you from your sins, and none of them ever detract from the principles displayed in the passages.

Blessings. Blind faith is a credulousness, disposition to believe , it's when you know that you know some thing no matter what other tells you and this is not an emotion, but an over trustfulness acceptation and a wishful thinking While faith is, in fact, something that you and I exercise every day in our lives. And we've exercised it from the very moment we were born. I suppose it's true that your mother even encouraged you to feel that we could trust her when we lay in her arms. And we learned day by day that was true, she would not drop us, that she was reliable, and we could put our faith in her arms, Have you ever considered what faith is? Or what process we go through to believe in something or someone? Are you aware of faith or belief in your everyday life? Think a moment about the next breath you take. Are you sure there isn't anything in the air you take into your lungs which might damage your health? Surely, if you look around your environment, you can't always see or smell any gas or fumes that might harm you. Only if a new smell was found, would you perhaps be a little worried. Would you ever consider this to be "a leap of faith"? Believe is when you know that jesus has put faith in your heart that you may know Him and believe that he is the Son of God . Gods knows every thing and he knew from the very beginning whom were going to believe and whom weren't. Faith is trusting accepting and believing God for who he say he is While surrender is giving up every thing to God so he can have his way on our life , is when you accept this will for your life which is his purpose for us. Surrendering to the Lord is like breaking down back to the feet of the cross telling the Lord that you cannot make it on your own we need his Holy spirit to guide, teach and to protect us, it's to many temptation all around us and if we do not stand and believe God we would go ashtray this is what our enemy wants , it's up to us to choice life or death, as for me and my household i will praise the Lord and choice life and light. Very uplifted, and an eye opener, question. Peace to all.

Holes? The only hole is the one in your understanding. Blind Faith is not "blind" - it "sees" by the Word of God. We choose to believe that God is not a liar and that we can trust Him to back up His Word - since He and the Word are One and Truth. We hear the Word of God, we believe the Word of God, we "see" the future. There are no fallacies or contradictions - only the fallacy of trying to understand something beyond your capability without the revelation needed to understand and the contradiction of existence (not saved), without really living (saved). Eternity is a long time to be without God.

No one who knows God would say to have blind faith, because our faith isn't blind. You think there are "holes" in the bible? Okay. Ever put much time into it? I doubt it. I've studied it for nine years. I believe it is what it claims to be, given by inspiration of God.
Mine is a faith built by seeing His word proven true over and over and over again.

A person of Faith can not lable it blind faith...
As once you have faith YOU R certain of things YOU never would have found out without FAITH. Faith is KNOWING due to FEELING a presence. Whether we are discussing God or the love of a kitten or child.

the Bible is not at fault and does not cause blind faith, it actually substantuates faith yet blind faith can also be to see contradictions and faults where there is none justy to go against it, ant you must turn a blind eye to see these non existant faults and contradictions one way to do this is to not even read it! But accept opinions rather than read it for yourself.

No, it doesn't. What holes are you referring to? The reason some things in the bible don't always jive has to do with the translation and the fact that some people picked certain things to be omitted. God isn't the bible. I don't have any use for the bible but I believe in God. There's a big diff there.

Do not believe in that. God gave yo intellect and a choice for reason. He could have made us like robots, or He could have made us like we are going to be in heaven = with no desire to do wrong and sin...but He loves us and the perfect love comes with choice.
The Bible contradictions are explainable when you know the message. There are Bible difficulties, no errors.

Blind faith only serves one purpose. It makes the apologist's job easier.
