Looking for interesting games for my Jack Russell?

I am always looking for new ideas to keep my Jack Russell occupied. She is very well mannered, but ...... true to her breed she has lots of energy and loves to play. We exercise regularly and do the usual play ball. She loves her tennis ball! Her mind is always going, going, going. (very smart.) She likes it when I hide the ball and she has to "hunt" for it. While "hunting" her tail is constantly wagging and you can almost see her mind working. She loves it. I am looking for good games to play with her that make her think.
I welcome all of your good ideas!

I know that it varies in each area, but I would find a dog sport to get involved in with your JRT. I have a JRT and we compete in flyball and will start agility soon. This keeps them physically and mentally challenged and is great fun for both of you all!

Hi,

I have a jack russell and I just signed her up for agility (obstacles) course at a local canine academy. I'm just doing it for fun and to keep my dog busy but it seems like it will be interesting.

p.s. my jrt is obsessed with the tennis ball too...haha they are such funny dogs!!!

Well I just got a new puppy and I am training her and our training instructor suggested a few games. One of them I liked is a lot like yours but it helps them develop their skills on coming when being called. If you just give her a toy then run and hide and call her name. Then when she finds you, reward her for doing a good job.
