Kiss him quickly in the theater as the movie begins, along with a whisper saying that if he's quiet during the movie, there's a longer kiss waiting for him as the final credits roll. He can't possibly be offended since you are promising a pleasant reward -- something you wouldn't do if you didn't like him. It's an affectionate way to let him know to shush up. And, if that doesn't work, stuff popcorn in his mouth every time he opens it up to say something!

Politely whisper that you will talk after the movie is over, and if it continues just ignore it. When you get out if asked why you didn't answer, say you were trying to listen to what was said and thought it was someone else (behind you, for instance) that was disrupting the movie....just a thought, not sure how well that last one would go over. Even a small verbal disclaimer before you go in to watch the movies saying "I really love going to the movies, I hope no one talks while it's playing, I think that's so rude."
Personally, I don't have to worry about that anymore (thank gawd), because I am married. The only things we ask during a movie is a question referring to a refill (if one of us is heading to the auditorium)....oh, yeah, and the odd request for a napkin. :)
I hope you find a solution to your problem, I know it can be a pain in the butt!

Considering you are calling her a stupid date, I'm guessing you aren't close. So first you explain that you really want to see the movie, you've been waiting for a long time for it to come out. If they don't listen, you get up and move to another seat. I'm sure they will get the point.
That, or you can suggest that you get of there so that the two of you can talk, and just go see the movie alone later.

Let your date know that you would rather talk after the movie so the other people in the theater can hear the movie. They have also paid for it, so they deserve the respect of being able to hear it all.
If s/he still continues to talk, you may just have to ask if they would like to leave so you can have a conversation outside. Hopefully this will be enough to convince him or her to quiet down. If not, leave, because you will be very embarrassed if you don't. Then don't take that person out again.

Nicely!!! That is lack of manners on his/her part. She/he should know better. First of all not only is she disturbing you...she is disturbing everyone else in the movie. So you need to ask yourself this question...do you really want to continue dating someone like that?
Now, it may be just stupidity or she may not be interested in the movie and is bored so she is talking. Either way, its wrong. If you want to continue dating her then first I would not take her to any more movies that you really want to see...go with a friend instead or alone.
If she asks why...tell her nicely that although you want to keep seeing her...when you go to the movies you dont really like to talk because you cant concentrate on the show.
If she understands...then she is worth seeing, if she doesnt than she is just selfish and you shouldnt be with her in the first place.

Here's what I have done. When I've been with a date at a movie and he is talking, I usually just look over at him, smile, then continue to watch the movie. If you ignore your date, she'll get the hint. If she doesn't, whisper, "Let's talk after the movie, okay?" If she is offended, she would be a pain to have around anyway so who cares?
