No. A "zit" is laden with bacteria that the tattoo needle will scatter throughout the tattoo. Why risk an infection? Heal the zits or choose another site. Professional artists will only work on intact skin.

The tattoo artist will have the final say on it, but depending on where they are working and how bad the zits are, they might send you home. If it's almost healed & mostly just flakey skin, you're probably ok. Otherwise, even if they did do it the tattoo would be adversely affected.
Any kind of rash can do that. I had an experience with some poison oak in December and had to skip my appointment as I was at the 'oozie' state. Yech.

If that's your first tattoo your pores and skin could be having a reaction to the ink. in case you have tattoos and not in any respect had this reaction until eventually now then it incredibly is recommended to bypass decrease back to the save that did it and ask them in the event that they are zits or an allergic reaction to a minimum of something they used.

Wow. I'm glad this question was asked. I am going tomorrow..well today for a tattoo on my chest. I get little pimple bumps there. I asked the tattoo artist what she thought and she said that it was ok. She basically said that if they interfered with the work it was nothing that couldn't be fixed during my next sitting. (im getting a pretty big tattoo)

I think it will negatively affect the ability of the color to permeate in the areas directly impacted by the leision, ie, you might get 'blank spots'. I saw this in someone that had a tattoo on her back over some blackheads. When they cleared, they left areas of zero pigmentation where they had previously been, thus her tattoo needed to be corrected.

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.
