Please advise what does the Quran say about the use of alcohol/wine. Quote verse if it prohibits. I understand that some use of alcohol/wine is allowed or not prohibited in Quran.

ALL alcohol is prohibited in Quran. Even the tiniest bit of wine in dressing or food is prohibited.

In the Quran:

O ye who believe! Intoxicants and Gambling, (Dedication of) stones, And (divination by) arrows, Are an Abomination - Of Satan's handiwork; Eschew such (abomination), That ye may prosper." [Al-Qur'an 5:90]

There are some verses which speak of periods when alcohol was allowed, remember the Quran was revealed in parts. But when it comes to laws governing Muslims'lives, it is clearly prohibited.

002-219
They question thee about strong drink and games of chance. Say: In both is great sin, and (some) utility for men; but the sin of them is greater than their usefulness. And they ask thee what they ought to spend. Say: that which is superfluous. Thus God maketh plain to you (His) revelations, that haply ye may reflect.

Cheers & God bless.

Alcohol is mentioned in two places in the Qur'an, one of which another responder has cited. The index in my copy unfortunately does not name the other one -- if I remember correctly, it is in either chapter 4 or chapter 6.

anybody nonetheless protecting the right of Muslims to be seen as 'non violent' has chosen to play ostrich. again and again and again the Muslim international proves it needs to rule the international and drag it again to the stone age. the reality that someone is Muslim means they help Islam. Islam helps violence. that is as glaring because the theory that the KKK helps racism.
