what happens when you take ritalin and your not prescribed?

what are things that happen to you, when people abuse it as a drug? I think my son is doing this, and i want to know why.

Ritalin is a member of the amphetamine class of drugs. If your son is not ADHD the effects will be similar to any "normal" person taking speed. You can look up Ritalin or methylphenidate HCL by Googling the word for the specifics. It is high addictive and is a scheduled or controlled II drug as determined by the DEA and FDA.

If he using it please get him away from it.
