Hope you are fine by now. CEFUROXIME is an antibiotics which belongs to cephalosporin, it is different from penicillin and it does not contain penicillin. However, some may also be allergic to cephalosporins. Your situation after smelling the CEFUROXIME as I can see is most unlikely to be allergic reaction however could possibly be a reaction to the strong smell which will be relieved after taking fresh air. As you mentioned you had heart disease, if you feel something is wrong with yourself, then you get to see a doctor by any means.Since your doctor give you CEFUROXIME ,I am sure there is an infection going on with you which you failed to start the treatment. Your symptoms can also be caused by such infection. Be careful, it is not a joke to delay treatment. See a doctor before it is too late.

Cefuroxime is a cephalosporin medication. There is a cross-allergic reaction rate of 5-10% in individuals known to have a TRUE penicillin allergy, which means anaphylactic (as in hives, swelling, throat closing). Diarrhea, upset stomach, skin rashes, malaise, muscle pain, fevers are not allergic reactions in the sense of life threatening effects, and are more likely continued or escalated illness. You should discuss your concerns with a physician. If you are truly ill, you should probably not be worrying about whom you can file a lawsuit against.

im allergic to penicillan as well
I can smell it with no problems
If i take it, i have major problems
If you are that sick, call 911. But it would seem that if your problem was caused by an allergic reaction, your symptoms would be going away by now, since all you did was smell it. It would be leaving your system already.
BTW-cefuroxime is widely given to people who are allergic to penicillan. :D so feel better soon and good luck!!

Get your parents to call 911 or call yourself. Tell them that you are experiencing an allergic reaction. Don't waste time calling a doctor. Do not hang up on the 911 operator.

There won't be a law suit to fight over if you die. If you managed to get to the doctor the first time you can get there again.

Besides, I don't think I believe you

Call 911 if you are telling the truth. You can call a lawyer in a couple of days.

call 911 immediately. If you aren't allergic it's better than dying if you are.
