I take Xanex for anxiety and to help me sleep. Works pretty well. I have noticed that if i take a half of a pill 30 min before I am in a situation with other people...friends, alike, that I am much more calm and not nearly as wound up.

If taking medication is not something you want to do to resolve your problem, try meditation. About a half hour every day to calm yourself and collect your thoughts is very healthy for your inner self.

You should definitely see a doctor regarding your health issues though. Never put something like that off as it could be something serious.

either you are naturally an anxious type or some thing should have happened at the college or during vacation, if you cant figure it out, please consult a counsellor or talk to some one you trust and think can help you.. when one is in an abusive relationship, has experienced loss(in relationship) or is insecure about future, such things happen! there is nothing to worry about though.. you may get temprory relief by indulging in activities or relationships that provide you a welcome diversion but lasting relief can be had by only by going to the cause of the problem and eliminating it! try reading 'the secret language of feelings' by calvin banyan and 'many lives many masters' by dr.brian weiss, if you can.. believe me it can really help you.. good luck!

Hi tr,

Unfortunately,we believe in shortcuts....eh! why don't you see a psychologist who can help you. There is a ROOT CAUSE to your problem which you may or may not be aware of......if you don't know..let the experts do their job-psychologist!!..well!!! it's not a matter of college but your life....such cases if not handled with 100% accuracy lead to suicidal instances.I wonder if you are waiting to commit one?If no!! then use google or any help line number and meet a doc.cheerio!
