The video wouldn't play for me but from the comments, I got the gist of it. It's just a scare tactic by some over zealous Christians. Kinda sick, really. When I was a kid, I remember going to a Christian day camp and they did things like this. It scared the crap out of me and I never went back. People shouldn't use fear to spread the word of God. Everyone responds to things differently and if it's so great, why scare someone into believing it? I don't think God had something like this in mind when He said to spread the word.

hmmm. i guess it's just a new way to get out an old message. i mean isn't it supposed to be a good thing to be a 'god fearing' christian. the fear tactic has been working since the beginning of religion. i think it's bad... but, compared to what? i mean have you ever a catholic children's bible study class? or christian summer camp? or baptist youth group? as someone who 'lost their faith' young; i've had many family members and friends of the family try to 'save' me. if you think your church is different, you should sit on your kid's class, when they plan to discuss hell and/or sin. i'm not saying religion is bad, i just think a lot of churches go about their teachings the wrong way.

I feel bad for jesus man, first he got rejected by the jews and the christians ironically got him all wrong and now they act crazy and fanatical with hell houses.
Problem is .. no one uses critical thinking or sniffs out really good metaphors when they read the bible.
I shall be waiting for the " you are a demon " rebuttle.

Good grief. I've seen these on news shows. I liked this comment left by someone who watched the video....

"A house built by the self-righteous on a foundation of fear and ignorance to lure in the simple-minded."

I never got past the introduction. You can get out of HELL House in the event of FIRE?!? If you're disruptive you can be kicked out, and aren't allowed back in!? That doesn't sound like fun at all.

Scare tactics have been around for thousands of years. This is just another version of the "fire and brimstone" and the morality plays of yore. And further proof that we are on the cusp of another dark ages.

This was a very interesting piece. Although I would not take very young children there, I would definitely take my out of control teenage daughter there. She refuses to get saved. I am a born again Christian and trust me, Jesus describes hell in the Bible much worse than that, and this was really sad to see. So many lost souls in this world. I wish I could win all their souls for Jesus. No, I am not disturbed by parents teaching their children the truth.

it's disgusting almost as if they were drumming up business for their local psycho-therapist . talk about traumatizing tactics to convert children this goes beyond brainwashing .
sad indeed. you didn't happen to see Ed Flanders and his kids while you were there did you? Homer was asking for him.

Here's my question, what if somebody set one of those up to scare teenagers into becoming Muslims or Jews or whatever? Do you think the cops would shut it down?
