One time there was a grasshopper. This grasshopper liked an ant, but the ant was going out with another ant. The grasshopper one day stored up 12 acorns under his dirt hill, but the two ants were unimpressed. The one ant that the grasshopper liked got crushed by a piano, and on the grasshopper's birthday. How does the grasshopper get over his love's death?

heres the thing about grasshopers, they are inconsolable. heres the other thing, they make angry drunks. just let him drink until he cries all of his feelings out, and for christs sake, stay out of his way. hopefully he'll get alcohol poisoning too.

god i hate grass hoppers.

The grasshopper brings flowers to the ant's grave, and says his goodbye and a prayer for the ant. Since the grasshopper and the ant were not involved in a relationship, the grasshopper made his peace over a short time and moved on with his life.

This may be a difficult part of the story, there is still plenty of time for a happy ending.

Give it time. Don't hide in your house. Keep up with your friends -they all love you and want you to feel better.
Grief is like the tides of the ocean. Some times the tide is high (you feel the grief more;) sometimes it's at low tide (you have momentarily forgotten the grief and feel pretty good.) Know that however you feel at this moment, you will feel differently soon.

Human emotion goes up and down; we must remind ourselves that we are here to mature, create joy, and occasionally suffer. Don't let the suffering overtake the joy.
There are books in the library about grief. I have forgotten the name of the one I want to tell you about, but there is a basic book to understand grief, and I'll bet the librarian can help you pick it out.

There's this story about a farmer who had two oxen. One of the oxen was stronger then the other. When the farmer yoked them both to a cart and cracked the whip, the cart went around in a circles. That is what your story is like.....
