Added Rep. Geoff Davis (news, bio, voting record), R-Ky., a West Point graduate who was a flight commander with the Army's 82nd Airborne: "This nonbinding resolution serves no purpose other than pacifying the Democrats' political base and lowering morale in our military."

Thank you Democrats. Let's not forget "comforting the enemy."

Funny. I would have thought that terrorists had better things to do then watch C-span.

Comforting the Enemy is a red herring argument that has no real meaning.

How would it comfort the enemy, exactly? the constitution is a very liberal document, is it comforting to our enemies? what about the declaration?

And did you notice that the largest amount of criticism of the war in congress comes from Veterans? Are they aiding the enemy? what about the republican ones like Chuck Hagel and John Warner (a former secretary of the Navy, BTW)

There is NOTHING more frustrating than listening to the "talking heads" in Washington telling me that my mission is a failure, while I'm still here winning.

I would LOVE for them to come HERE and say that to US.

He is spot-on right. I wish we had more veterans in office. I'm sure we will have many Iraq veterans in office in the next decade or two though.
