Interesting how people are claiming that it is a Muslim thing when I, as a reader of all major Scriptures and a Muslim since birth can assure you that it is NOT a part of the Muslim faith, niether is it common.
Watch NGC/Discovery, it is practised in wild African tribes. You will not find any instance of this in ANY Islamic book.
As for those who claim it to be a Muslim thing, stop spreading hatred and lies - there are many similarities between religions, focus on them and learn to celebrate them.
Cheers and God bless.

No....... There is nothing like that in Islam with women.
Yes.. Male circumcision is essential....
What is the reason behind that.....
1-At the time of Muhammad(pbuh) .. the OLD jews dont do the circumcision for male. So Muhammad said to be different from jews muslims will now do male circumcision.
2-The most logical reason is that ... every thing that is intended to catch the dirty thing should be cut of. For example the Hair arounds pennis.. and the **** hole.(male/female)..., The knails..... etc etc. because by not cutting them person remain in unwanted state by which he or she cant offer pray or wordship.
Same as for male circumcision .. that it catches the drops of pee which still remain in it even some one take bath.
So hegeneic wise it is also good.
so all thing clear that nothing is like that for woman but essential for mulsim males.
I think that asnwers the question.

Yes and it is horrible. It is not a true circumcision, but a mutilation where the clitoris is cut off using crude and unsterile instruments and girls as young as 5 are held down and mutilated. They are usually held down by women. Some die due to massive infections or hemorrhage. Others must endure each sexual encounter with their husbands with unspeakable agony because every act involves ripping open. Get involved to stop this crime against humanity. There doesn't seem to be many active groups against this practice. If you know of any, let me know. I do know that Amnesty International has taken a stand against this. The practice has been done in the US though rarely.Unbelievable.

Yes it is. Many females in rural parts of Muslim countries are circumcised. Some have horrible infections and die. They can also have many problems during childbirth. It is generally not done in more modern parts today, but is a tradition. It is done so the females will not enjoy sex, and so will not want to have sex outside of marriage. There was one case of female circumcision in the US down south somewhere around Christmas time. The father had done his daughter with out the mother knowing. He went to jail!

coaching of lady cuircumsion is termed "sunnah" - custom, and is not any longer required via Qu'ran. There are w few sayings of the Prophet Muhammad that time out that coaching between muslims in his cases, yet those sayings extremely - advise to no longer flow into extremes in curcumsion. well worth to function that there is a diverse status of sayings of the Prophet. some are actual and examined via scholars of 'hadith' (custom), some are vulnerable (won't be in a position for use as an obvious info). the female cuircumsion is non-needed in islam and girls human beings refusing it, won't be in a position to be compelled into this coaching. it is likewise no longer actual that each and each physique muslim women human beings are cuircumcised. lady cuircumcision is an extremely uncommon coaching, frequently between uneducated human beings in rural aspects (esp. Africa).

Somalia born Waris Dirie (she is a supermodel) had to endure the female genital mutilation and had to have several surgeries to end her suffering from dangerous complications , when she was circumcised with a rusty razor blade ! today this beautiful woman is on a crusade to end the needless mutilation in Muslim communities in many countries! It is according to Muslim women who had to endure this God awful mutilation so they have no feelings when sexual intercourse is present as only man may enjoy this!
FOR THOSE WHO DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS SLAUGHTER LOOK UP THIS GRACEFUL WOMAN ON THE NET AND SEE FOR YOU SELVES .

There is no female circumcision in Islam.
It only practices in some tribal area of Egypt and some African countries.
Its purely cultural thing and not religious

Its not actually a circumcision, its an amputation and is done under the brutal idea that if a woman doesn't enjoy sex she will be less likely to stray. I never heard of that being done in Islam, only in some primitive societies.

Circumcision is NOT taught in the q'uran. And neither does God have a covenant with the muslims.

Islam is only a religion to fool religious refugees into thinking that the God of the Jews is opening doors to the enemies of Jews.

You don't become an american just because you can sing the american anthem or say its pledge. Same thing with the muslims. They observe this and that, but what do they get ultimately? NOTHING!

It is not a part of Islam. It used to be practiced in some countries like Egypt, but it is not a part of our religion! It was a cultural practice.
