Truth period. I have found that if you stand firm in truth then GOD will open doors you thought would be shut.

Islam commands Muslims to always tell the truth and never a lie, whatsoever may be the consequences. Islam taught that a lie or falsehood is the root cause & reason behind all sins and misdeeds. A Muslim may commit a sin sometime under influence of devil, but a Muslim cannot be a liar and can never tell a lie so long as he wants to remains in Islam. Muslims firmly believe and strictly practice the teachings/commands of their holy book Quran & their Prophet, which is their Code of Life at all times/places. They have the written, clear and unambiguous teachings to guide righteous or wrongs, pious or evil, fair or unfair, etc. They follow them blindly in matters of responsibilities, liabilities, rights, daily life, marriage, private & public relation, business, trade, earning & spending, etc. etc. Anybody may read, satisfy, accept and practice it.
Hinduism does not restrain from telling a lie. Contrarily encourages it to gain something or to save from a loss. Hence always a Hindu will tell what is beneficial to him and uncare its truth or falsity. Hindus conceal or tell a lie when questioned about their traditions, customs, Hindu life style, etc. If asked to millions, a few alone may accept the basic truths of Hinduism.
1. worshipping the genitals (penis & vagina) of dieties in their temples. (Lingam / yoni)
2. getting wives impregnated by pious priests (Nyoga)
3. extra marital sexual activities of dieties

A, B, and C, cannot be RIGHT, and be NOT RIGHT, at the same time. If it can be, then it is not a logical proposition, and it is based on too much acid or hemp. Snort another line.
Ill-logic has been trying to take over logic since the Greeks got the whole Logick concept going. Chaos works fine with today's Congress, but it still doesn't meet the tests of Logic.

Answer is C. Because it depends on the moral motive as to why you are answering the question. Generally of course A. the truth.. but sometimes B. a lie, (example, the Christians in Holland lied to the Nazis in WW 2, and hid the Jews to save them from being killed) the lie in that case was morally correct because it saved lives.

Keep silent if the truth hurts someone.
When the time to speak the truth comes, then speak it.
However, it is better to ask intelligent questions than to answer foolish ones.

I am a warrior for Christ and God speaks through me, so nothing I say is a lie because God is perfect and we are not. Of course if you're talking to someone who is unsaved it's ok to lie to save their soul from hellfire.
