I used to volunteer with an organization that gave this information to students.

Fill out your FAFSA now!!! Just guess at the numbers. It won't hurt you. You can go back and change the data later if you need to. FAFSA will process your application by the first submission. So if you go back and change it later, this will not affect your submission date. The earlier you get it in the more money you are likely to get. Never wait!!!

Having said that, you can turn in your FAFSA any date and it will still get accepted.

The importance of the priority date is largely in how WWU uses it. At the College that I work for, completing the FAFSA by the priority date ensures that we will receive it and give you enough time to complete any additional documentation before we award the financial aid. Getting it in shortly after may or may not affect things. The financial aid office at WWU will be able to see the date the FAFSA was submitted and may base some of their awarding on that date.
Priority date will not affect federal student loans or Pell Grants (and their new cousins ACG and SMART).
In short this question is best answered by WWU, but at least try to get the FAFSA done soon.

i imagine it relies upon on what type of help you're concerning/attracted to as to if that cut-off date makes a huge difference. For resources, that state-through-state priority cut-off date would make a huge difference. yet when you're talking about Federal loans, then that state date is carefully irrelevant. The cut-off date for filing the FAFSA to receive certain Federal loans for the 2007-2008 tutorial 3 hundred and sixty 5 days will be 30 June 2008.

On the FAFSA site it says the PIN will be assigned in about 3 days, but I got mine in 12 hours.

You can fill out the FAFSA without having the PIN, you just can't sign it electronically.
