Well first of we are lazy, second even though we have that "no child left behind" bull ( that is my own opinion) we still leave them behind. I feel as though in other parts of the country no child is not left behind and the education system is the same across the board like China was is a China a communist society there fore the people or the "state" have no control over what ies learned and what is not learned it is the same across the board weather you live in the ghetto or the suburbs of that country. We have such a problem for one beause each state's learining process and information are all different and it goes by where you live. That is not fair. That my friend is why other countries exceed us in education.

The educational system in this country is not about education anymore it’s about power, on one side they say the new methods of teaching will help kids to learn more and on the other side they say the old method was working fine of which it was. They are teaching kids about drugs and sex and what are the kids doing more of than ever, drugs and sex. They over pay the administrators and under pay the teachers, I say they all make too much. There are too many kids in each class and too many distractions. The system can't get rid of bad teachers or students that disrupt classes. The system is in full failure mode and no one knows how to fix it, they do but if they have a lot of problems the government throws more money at it and that’s all they want, they are just playing a game that they know how to play. On television you see nothing but drugs, sex and violence and what do you see in the schools, drugs, sex and violence. If the American people don’t wake up real soon we will start having worse and worse problems. If the system is broken then fix it not with more money you rebuild it till it works. That’s all.

In my personal opinion, it is the education. There are so many standardized tests that students all over the nation are mandated to take. If students do poorly on these tests, the schools lose some, if not all, funding. WIthout sufficient funding, the school can not function or stay open (that funding pays for books, teachers, supplies, etc.). Therefore, pressure is put on the districts and the teachers for these students to do well on the test. Because of this, the teachers are teaching to the test, and not teaching so that the students understand the material. The students learn how to take and do well on these exams, yet might not know and truely understand what they learned.

Ask your president why he keeps cutting the funding for public schools.
