I am sorry to say that all that have written that say there is no God, is like saying there is no hope.
There has to be someone most intelligent to make you, me and the world we live in.
Also for those who do not believe there is no God, prove to us that there is no God. You can neither prove it no disprove it. Yet in our very core, our very being we know for certain that there is a God, even if we deny it. To deny God, is to deny the Holy Spirit, and to deny the Holy Spirit, you deny the Son, Jesus Christ.
If you have never read God's Love story to you, read the Bible.

What do I think? I think that God is the energy that powers this existence and I think the world religions and sciences are here to try to explain and interpret it. I think essentially we come here of our own volition to learn something - I think we come with our friends and pick our circumstances and timing all to learn things (and I think that is what the story of adam and eve is all about - we were given this planet for either idle paradise or education and we picked education - much to the delight of our elder, I am sure). I think we come back here again and again, both because there is SO much to learn here and because it's the best ride in the park.
I think that at home we are of a spirit nature and existence is very, very different - but it is wonderful in it's way and I think we will all return there when this journey is over (some call home heaven, etc.). I think that we continue to choose our way in our Earth Bound Journey - I think whatever we dwell upon in our hearts and in our minds is what we get in our lives (this is what prayer is supposed to be I think).
I think that if there is a sentient creator, then it loves us each as if we were it's favorite child and it is looking forward to hearing of our adventures when we return. I don't think it judges us. I think things are just things to it (there is as much to learn through pleasure as through adversity) - it is we who label and judge things and in so doing we make our lives harder than they need to be.
I personally don't go in for the sentient god thing too much - I rather think of it as an energy, like the ship's computer or holodeck machine in Star Trek. Perhaps I am a bit of a control freak, but I like to be the one in charge here, you know?
Peace!

I really think that there is no god. Never had been never will be. I also think that it doesn't matter either way, because in the end I'll only ever know if I was wrong. If I die and there was a god all along oh well! jesus died for my sins and I lived a good life so I'm set anyway. If I was right, I'll never know it because then I'll just be dead.

Life is more than the sum of its parts. I have difficulty believing that there is an intelligence or consciousness that exists apart from that and not subject to its rules. I guess I find it hard to believe in a god or gods above and apart from the universe.

There is no reason to think so. Catholic theologian Hans Kung, in an exhaustive examination of the subject, concluded that there was no logic or evidential reason to believe either way, and I agree. It follows from this that no theory of god can have any consequences in the real world, so all such theories are a waste of time.

Not in my experience. I've neither seen nor heard any god ever. And I've never seen any convincing evidence to show that there ever was a supreme being. Just a lot of stories. That's all there is. Mythology and nothing more.

I believe that there is a God who is the creator of all and that He (she , It ) created us in a likeness that will altemately allow us to understand the very reason for this creation.

Yes. I've known him since I was born.
Sometimes he listen, sometimes he doesn't.
He said, everything has a reason only
time will tell. Don't worry, I am here with you.
Oh.. and He has a weird sense of humor.
