Be upfront that something is wrong with the car. Depending on your location there may or may not be a law saying that the person who bought the car from you can either make you take the car back and refund their money or they could probably take you to court. People will probably ask for the VIN number so they can carfax the car and see it has problems. They will walk away from the deal unless they know they can fix it.

Your answer actually depends on the state in which you sell the car. However, even if your state allows you to sell a car 'as-is' without comprehensive disclosures, you still can be sued by the buyer after they're hit by problems. And, some of the legalities that can be identified against you can be really bad!

Well if they test drive it and don't notice any problem and still want it and give you the money. It's theirs for good and if they did try to come back(though highly unlikely) just say u didn't anything about the problems. They can't make you do anything about it.

I would only tell them if they ask and be honest and when they buy it have them sign something that says sold as is. Its up to the buyer to have it checked out before hand.

just make sure that you have them sign a bill of sale that states the vehicle that you are selling is being sold as-is.then try not to feel too guilty.

I believe if you sell it to a dealer you do not have to tell them about all the problems it has, but if you sell it to someone yourself you are supposed to.
