I apologize. If I'm chatting online with a guy I've never met, take the correct precautions while doing such - no giving out address, phone no.,personal info that may track him to me,etc - and I've been talking to him since the beg. of Oct. '06,is this wrong:

Im over 18

I like talking with him, feel comfortable, relate to him in some ways

He lives in my area and Im sure (tho I won't say how) that he is who he says he is

He's a little over 10yrs older than me

Tho I *stress* the importance of being friends first,we sometimes talk about more personal issues

Question has arrived - if I should want to meet up with him and become intimate with him, would that be bad?I have never been intimate with anyone and I feel like it would most likely be him because I'm anxious to do it and get it over with,I'm quiet outside of family and it's mistaken as being stuck up. I want to experience that and lose myself in it.I feel like it wouldnt be a big loss

Is this something I'd regret?

I'm not someone who thinks intimacy (i assume you mean sex) should wait for committment or marriage but I do think the first time is something you really need to think about carefully.
First off, safety, are yo both going to be tested beforehand because condoms are not an end all to safety. Can you guarantee his health?

Second, those comment you made make me think you're giving in to outside pressure, not necessarily thinking about what you want. The pressure may not be obvious or overt (and probably not from him) but I know when my younger sister lost her virginity before me, I felt like I had to "catch up".
I'm not saying that's your thinking but do closely consider your reasons and the reasons or assumptions behind them.

and you know that the likelihood of your first time being great as in "losing yourself" is small. Are you willing to committ to the necessity of prsctice/repeats to find your best responses and finally a wonderful time. If you say you just want to get it over with; I don't think so.

i really can't comment on the online part of this, Your explanation sounds like you've thought through his truthfullness carefully: now do the same for other decisions.

PS I'm not that much older than you, so this isn't an adult just saying no.

Yes, chances are it would definitely be something you would regret. You are playing with fire, honey. If your mind is stuck on intimacy, go get lost in a romance book. It would be a lot safer than trying to meet up with someone you don't really KNOW. Believe me, people can portray themselves alot differently over the internet than they are in person. Take this relationship very slow. You need to be friends a long time before taking it to the next step and you need to check him out more thoroughly before he knows your personal stuff. He may even be married! Please wake up and have more respect for yourself rather than have thoughts of "I'm anxious to do it and get it over with...." Why not wait until you have a long, meaningful relationship with a guy before deciding to get intimate? If you don't have true love, then it won't be all that extraordinary.

YES!! Don't give it to him. Wait! You will meet a nice guy in person someday. Not someone who has been romancing you on-line. Just because you think he is who he says he is....

Honey, I might be a 28 year old mom, or maybe a 14 year old high school boy, maybe I'm 25 year old loan officer with a nice car, single, and decent....

You really don't know.

Don't decide until you meet him in person, meet him somewhere safe and public. Don't be shy to bring a friend along. Follow your gut, if you feel you will regret it, don't do it.

He may see a good thing in you........to his advantage.
There's absolutely no reason to do it, just to get it over with.
It should mean much more than that. What you're considering is very very important. It's YOUR BODY that you're turning over to someone. PLEASE do NOT forfeit that PRIVILEGE so lightly.
