I am more than financially able to move out but the amount of money I am saving is the big reason. I have dated quite a few girls and none of them has seemed turned off by me living with my parents. I have lived on my own for years and know how to take care of myself but.... the money I am saving is great to have.

Listen, buddy, this idea is already portrayed in the movie "Failure to Launch." I don't know who you're trying to impress. Certainly not the women you date.

Living with your parents at 31 is not cool. Are you paying them rent? If not, it would come off to me that you are a moocher. Sure, the extra money is great...but are you blowing it or saving up to get a house/condo? Are you doing anything worthwhile with it? If not, then you just come off as not serious and a slacker who depends on his parents.

It wouldn't be an absolute turn off for me, but it would make me think that there was definitely something wrong with the guy.

Seriously, if I was a girl in question I might be thinking, "It's great that's he's saving money and trying to get on his feet but...he's 31, not 21." Why not just move out if you have all that money? Anyone can save money while mooching off mom and dad. It's not difficult since you have virtually nothing to pay for. Not at all trying to be rude but this is what I would question if I was going to date you.

If its a temporary thing i dont think she would mind if she was really into you. Ive dated a couple guys who lived with their parents at that age and they had other issues. They acted like kids and even had toys in their room . Thats what turned me off. If youre just a regular guy trying to save some money then I dont see why they would be turned off.. Though women do like independent men. If you have your life together and youre just staying there temporarily there should be no problem.. Unless you have your mother or father walking in all the time and have no privacy.

I think it is fine, I live at home at 27. I dont think there is anything wrong with it, I dont plan on being here forever but I am able to get out of debt. If a girl has a problem with that then she is not for you. Having extra money is a good thing, and until you are ready to get into a more serious relationship then it should not be a big deal.

For me, no it's not a turn off. It really depends on the culture that these girls are from. I am from a culture that regards this as normal. In my country it is very common for unmarried adults to live with their parents. In fact, if a single lives alone, they can be viewed as being irresponsible towards their parents rather than independent.

No woman would say to your face that its a turn off, but it kinda is. It's admirable that you are saving, but its better if you're saving UP, or saving TOWARD something.

Take all that cash and buy a little house. Its more impressive to own a house than live with your parents.

It really depends on why you are living with you parents. If you get involved with a girl and she thinks that if you guys get serious that you have to stay with your parents--yeah, that can be a huge turnoff. I'm going to be frankly honest right now--were I single and saw a guy who is 31 and still living with his parents, I would be a bit turned off. It shows maturity and independence that guy can live on his own. It shows that he is capable of handling himself and supporting a woman.

I understand that you live at home because it save you a lot of money, but for the majority of girls who are looking for a serious relationship...IT IS A MAJOR TURN OFF! A girl is looking for a guy who can support her and their family...and a first glance, you do not appear to be able to do so even if you can. First impressions last, and can be hard to overcome...bottom line I wouldnt date a guy who still lived at home at your age.

it's definitely NOT a turn off - if you've noticed in our society today, the certain age limits are shifting. People are getting married older, people move out older - actually, what you are doing now is perfectly normal and is a TURN ON because you're thinking about what women call "important issues" - you're being responsible thinking about yourself, your future, and financial situations - high five dude!

Based on why your living with your parents (to save $$$) it just screams-cheap skate! I would wonder if we dated long enough and you got your own place if you would turn the heater on in the winter, take me out to dinner at a place that didnt only accepted 2 for 1 coupons and if you would spend the money for gas to come visit me once and awhile. lol-good luck on that
