It's a sort of condition, orta. More of a habit. It's not realy caused by anything, but it can be serious. People that do should deffinately go to the doctor to get a mouthpiece or something to wear at night cuase your mouth can put a few hundred pounds of pressure on itself, now imagine that for 8 hours while your sleeping. Needless to say your teeth can get really worn down. You should deffinately have these peopel (if you know them) either go to the doctor or look it up online and get a mouthpiece

It's called clenching or grinding your teeth - and it's a stress related problem more often than not - and it can be caused by a bite irregularity or problems in the joint. It is dreadful and can cause lots of muscular pain, not to mention stress on the teeth including breaking them. The most common correction is to create a mouthpiece to wear that either corrects the bite or reduces the stress. That can also cause problems because some people start to clench on the mouthpiece thereby increasing the habit by having something to bear down on. One of the best treatments is neck and upper back massage to relieve the stress. And chewing gum is not a good thing to do because it repeats the motion of the grinding.

It's actually called grinding your teeth and I do it as well my dogs
Veterinarian said he does it as well. You can have a cap sized
Cover you put in at night that will stop the sound and protect your
teeth at night. It's Clear, made to fit your teeth, and comfortable.
Very well recommended to save your from grinding down or even
uneven. Some people snore some grind their teeth. It's not some
thing you want to do just happens that way.

It's called teeth grinding... it's probably due to the body's reaction to brain waves that result when they sleep. Same reason why some people make sounds, or sleep walk.. it's just a different type of energy
