This explanation is for beach play as it has the beach court dimensions. The only changes really to go from beach to indoor is:
1. You only switch court sides between sets.
2. Blocks do not count as a team touch.
3. Sets are called more leniently.
4. You are allowed open hand tips/dinks.
5. In outdoor play you are allowed to lift or carry a ball on the first touch if it's a "hard driven ball" but indoor that's a no.
6. There is a center line in indoor which you may not cross.

You have a net and 6 people on both sides and then you just hit the ball over the net .. Its not really that hard to do... Each time the other team scores a pointe its their ball and you switch players when its your ball again when the other team messes up or doesn't score. Um.. you get 3 hits per team the first one is usually a bump, second one is usually a set and the last one is a spike over the net but it doesnt have to work like that it just sometimes works that way. um, i think those are the basic rules to follow and if you keep to those you should learn how to play it in a heart beat!

You have a net and then you throw the volleyball over the not and when you don't hit the ball, the other team gets a point.

It depends on the type of game you would like to play, how many players on each side of the net, and if it is coed or just one gender.

My best advice to you (and the best for my fingers) is to google "rules for volleyball". Or go to the bookstore and buy a book.

two or more people on each side of the net. Ur allowed to hit the ball 3 times then the third hit it over the net. the team that cant pass it over the net gives the other team the point.

its not jsut an easy answer. it dpeends whhat u wanna play. setters usually never make point hey tip(only in emergencies) and set. spikers score the point and hitters hit the ball when it goe sover the net. the order goes
1.) other tema hits th ball over the net
2.) person closest to the ball, besides the setter calls mine and htis the ball tot he setter(setteralways gets 2nd hit)
3.) setter sets it up close to the net, but not to close, not too high, and not too low.
4.0 spikerruns hits the ball and scores.
