Hi,everyone.
I want to learn more English. So let me talk about Hong Kong first. Can you help me to correct my grammar or spelling mistakes if you find any of them?Or please tell me your feeling about Hong Kong or your opinion after reading my article.Thank you.
There are many overseas people in Hong Kong. Most of them are very nice.Especially my English teacher. He always smiles and uses many methods to help us to learn more English.I think Hong Kong is a wonderful place because there are many people from different countries and there are a lot of travelling places. For example, Disneyland,Ocean Park, Science Museum, Space Museum, Bird Garden, Wetland Park, Victoria Harbour, The Peak, Tsing Ma Bridge, Lantau Island, Sai Kung, The Big Buddha, Temple Street night market, Lamma Island,
Wong Tai Sin Temple, Stanley Beach and so on.
What do you think about Hong Kong?

First, your english seems pretty good. I know many native english speakers who would make many more mistakes, orally or in writing. I was in HK last week and I love the place. Everytime I travel to China, I must go through Hong Kong either to arrive or to leave. I find people very friendly and open, a great mix of both traditional and modern China and the West. Shopping is still second to none, and the food is absolutely fantastic, you can chose to spend a few dollars and get something from a street food stall, or splurge at one of the best and priciest restaurants in the world. Yes, it is a busy city and people seem to be always on the go, but I would gladly live there if I could afford to do so, of course as long as I don't have to work in such as fast-paced environment.

I visited Hong Kong 36 years ago and absolutely loved the place. That was before the theme parks were built, but I enjoyed the shopping and touring and would love to go back.

I see no problems with your English. Next school year my wife and I will host a foreign exchange student from Hong Kong, a girl who uses the Western name "Karen." She will be our sixth foreign exchange student, and our second one from Hong Kong.

We are currently hosting a boy from Germany and another from Korea. Our German is our third German student. The second was a girl who was with us when we hosted the girl from Hong Kong.

If you want to become more conversant in English consider studying in the U.S. or Britain, Australia or New Zealand.

Good luck in your studies.

Your English is very good. Keep it up.

What do I think of Hong Kong? I have never been there but from what I heard & seen,

1. The shopkeepers are rude. They don't like you browsing their shops & leaving empty handed.

2. All Hongkies think about is how to earn more money. I suppose living in a fast paced environment did that to you. Must be very stressful, eh?

3. Of course they're crazy about horse-racing, hound racing & casinos - anything to do with gambling.

4. Very crowded - people living in tall rise buildings, crammed conditions. Their washings hanging out to dry in long bamboos. When you see that in TV, you know it's Hong Kong

P.S. Any Hongkies reading this - no offence, just voicing out my opinion :-))
