Well, if you're thinking in terms of sugar content, yes.
Try this sometime. Put some coke in a styrofoam cup overnight. See what the acid in the sodas does to the cup. Now think of your teeth....

On top of the acidity of cola drinks, sugar free drinks have been shown numerous times to make you hungrier and inhibit weight loss. They're called a "diet" drink, but terms like "Diet Coke" and "Diet Pepsi" are substantially misleading.

Colas aren't good for your teeth, or your overall health.

Diet Coke is not better then regular coke. 10 Years ago a dentist told me it was ....so i drank diet. Now my teeth have white lines on the bottom .Definately try to drink water instead.

the problem with any colas is the citric acid which chips away at your tooth enamel. a loss of enamel causes your teeth to become ultra sensitive, and causes them to become sort of see-through at the tips. also, once lost, tooth enamel cannot be restored, only protected from chipping off more. In terms of cavities, most certainly sugar-free coke is more preferable then regular.

SUGAR FREE IS SLIGHTLY BETTER THAN REGULAR COKE BUT ONLY BECAUSE OF THE SUGAR, THE PHOSPHORIC ACID CONTENT IS THE SAME--AND THIS IS ACTUALLY MORE DETRIMENTAL TO THE TOOTH THAN THE SUGAR.

Is it "better" for your teeth? Well, NO...it isn't good. But it might be less BAD for your teeth than soda with sugar.

If you truly want to do better for your teeth, quit sodas altogether and drink water. It takes a while to break the soda habit, but when you start to see the improvement, it will be worth it!

Sugar free obviously doesn't have the sugar that can add to decay but it contains the same amount of acids that can be just as damaging. Its not going to cause your mouth to rot but they are going to whiten them either.
