I don't think desire is endless, it begins to stop when a person starts to be aware of the suffering desire brings.

Human being never satisfied because we are not perfect and still in worldly life.....We have an endless desire in God because God is peaceful and loving and people love to live with this feeling and God is so wonderful that you would like to know more of him....
