The Christian Churches during the first century used only the current 27 books of the New Testament with the last one written near 90 A.D. Any other writtings after those N.T. books cannot be considered as authentic church documents because the canon or collection of books that make up the Bible ended then. The New Testament books do not allow for any new revelation apart from them because As the book of "Hebrews" states, there is a new covenant where Jesus is the new eternal high priest to believers and so no one can take up a new covenant or priesthood. By the way, I have never read that Muslims have any kind of priesthood much less one that would take over Christ's ?

To Karan s, you are not showing respect yourself to Punter and to others on this site by using profanity so I have reported you.

O Punter,The Book of Barnabas is dated to the middle ages , over a thousand years after Jesus died.It has been called a forgery, even by Islamic scholars.
"As regards the "Gospel of Barnabas" itself, there is no question that it is a medieval forgery ... It contains anachronisms which can date only from the Middle Ages and not before, and shows a garbled comprehension of Islamic doctrines, calling the Prophet the "Messiah", which Islam does not claim for him. Besides it farcical notion of sacred history, stylistically it is a mediocre parody of the Gospels, as the writings of Baha Allah are of the Koran."
