I asked what tapioca pearl drinks were and I got a variation of things that said "bubble drinks" with tapioca balls in them. Still dont know what tapioca pearl drinks are.

Tapioca is an essentially flavourless starchy ingredient, or fecula, produced from treated and dried cassava (manioc) root and used in cooking. It is similar to sago and is commonly used to make a milky pudding similar to rice pudding. Purchased tapioca comprises many small white spheres each about 2 mm in diameter. These are not seeds, but rather reconstituted processed root. The processing concept is akin to the way that wheat is turned into pasta.

Do a google image search for Tapioca and you'll see what it looks like.

The "pearls" are tapioca balls. Tapioca is a starch made from the cassava plant. Bubble tea is normally a milk tea or a fruit flavored tea or a milk tea with fruit flavoring. All of the variations have tapioca balls.

This is a comment-I love tapioca!

The only thing that sucks is that it takes forever to make it yourself. Have you tried that Minute Tapioca you can buy in a box?

Tapioca Balls is what men get if they eat too much tapioca pudding. Very similar to beer nuts.

Tapioca is pudding made with fish eyes. It's very disgusting.
