You could accomplish that just by ceasing to brush your teeth or peeing in the house plants. (Wow. If you became a house cat, you would piss off your mother.)

As a Muslim, I say no. At least, not right away.
Convert to Islam if you truly believe in it. We already have enough people going around, calling them Muslims, and then acting unislamically.
However, there must have been something to make you choose Islam. You wouldnt choose Islam (even if was just to make your mom angry) if you didn't know that it was a peaceful religion.
Maybe you should take some time and think about it. If you really think you want to be Muslim and understand that it takes a lot of discipline -we pray five times a day, fast for one month of the year, and are required to give as much charity as your bank account can handle- then, yes, go ahead.
If you want to learn more, go to your local mosque (if you live in Soouthern California, I can even recommend some).

Alright dude, you should only do things for yourself. Don't convert to a religion unless you REALLY believe in it. If you live your life trying to piss off other people or trying to make other people happy, you will not be happy. And why do you want to make your mom angry anyway? You will value your relationship with her in the future....hopefully.

mum is the last person you should be worrying about getting angry. although they can get quite brutish. but what would Jehovah God think? You will see what the true religion is. If you must experiment, waste all the time you need. We're always here to study.
